Lineage | Lot's Wife and Castle Rock Point area of Sandy Bay, St Helena Island were visited monthly from June 2013 to June 2014. Data was collected using a combination of mark-recapture techniques, scan counts, ground counts and digitisation of spatial data. Breeding masked boobies and their chicks were targeted for ringing. Daily egg and chick survival rates were calculated following Mayfield (1975) and their standard errors following Johnson (1979). A minimum population estimate (MPE) were calculated monthly to allow for incomplete habitat coverage in inaccessible and nonvisible areas, also undetected birds during the period of a monthly count. The raw data is held with EMD |
