GPS tracking of breeding adult band-rumped storm petrels (Hydrobates castro) at St Helena island from 2017-2019

Lineage 54 GPS loggers (NanoFix-GEO mini, Pathtrack Ltd, Otley, UK) were deployed on breeding adult band-rumped storm petrels (Hydrobates castro) on Egg Island, St Helena. GPS loggers were deployed for periods of 2-12 days and attached with tesa tape to 3-4 tail feathers. 47 GPS loggers were recovered, 44 with usable data which was downloaded using PathTrack Archival GPS Logger software (V1.5, Pathtrack Ltd, UK). The raw data is held with EMD and copies are held at the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB). Metadata on deployments and retirevals are held in the seabird tracking database with EMD and RSPB. Tracks are archived on Movebank (St Helena seabirds) as well as Birdlife International Seabird Tracking Database.
